Extension  Programs

The English and Culture (EC) Extension program is an opportunity for MWU students to choose to return to MUSC in the fall after having spent the spring semester in Spokane. Students extend their English language learning opportunities while further exploring language skills, American culture, and opportunities to visit another region of the United States.  

The Global Communication (GC) Extension program is an opportunity for MWU students to choose to return to MUSC in the spring after having spent the fall semester in Spokane. Students extend their English language learning opportunities while further exploring language skills, American culture, and opportunities to visit another region of the United States.  

Students engage in the Spokane community and share Japanese culture through a culminating project called the Discover Japan Lecture Series.

Global Communication Extension program students research, create, and share a semester long project covering topics related to global communication and English learning.
